Kervina Deanna Persad defines what it is to be a child at heart. She strives to live a life of pure and genuine happiness; which her artwork promotes. Hailing from South Trinidad, this young artist passionately believes in the ability of creative expression and its importance to a developing mind. After winning an Additional Scholarship in Visual Arts, Kervina went on to pursue a BA Visual Arts (Special) at the University of the West Indies and successfully obtained First Class Honours with specialisation in Design.
Kervina’s artwork is not limited to a particular theme, style or medium. She believes in opening one's mind to the varying techniques or resources available and therefore tries to create work that is easily relatable to everyone. Her work ranges from drawings, paintings, mosaics, digital illustrations/paintings, graphic design and her very own line of children’s books. This artist trusts in the power of transferring ones emotions and thoughts into a piece of art. She uses her skill as an outlet for expression, when all words fail. In the future, Kervina intends to continue growing as an individual and as an artist; while following her passion of working with little children.
